What is Ecclesiology?

Ecclesiology is the study of the church. The church is the assembly of believers who belong to God. Ecclesiology is crucial to understand God's purpose for believers in the world today.

Ecclesiology then deals with the church's origin, church relationships, and its role in salvation, its discipline, its destiny, and its
leadership.

A key Scripture on Ecclesiology is Acts 2:42, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

What is the purpose of the church?

According to Scripture, the purposes / activities of the church should be: teaching Biblical doctrine, providing a place of fellowship for believers, and praying.
